Adventures in Philosophy: Immanuel Kant - The Classic Philosophers: Immanuel Kant

Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was a German philosopher whose works include The Critique of Pure Reason, in which he adopts (in response to Hume's empiricism) an idealist position, arguing that our knowledge is limited by our capacity for perception, and The Critique of Practical Reason, in which he expounds his theory of ethics based upon "categorical imperatives."
